Commentary:
Yes, ladies and gentlemen, The Belchmeister really does belch all 26 letters of the alphabet, and his
"W" is a killer! So, inquiring minds wanna know - who is The Belchmeister, anyway? He's my younger son and he
was 9 years old when Belchmeister was recorded, but he was a champion burper since about age 2. I wrote this song on
purpose for him in order to involve him in my music by showcasing his unusual talent, and by so doing, to give him a totally
unique experience in life that no one else could possibly give him. That much, I certainly did. I recorded him
doing 5 different tracks of burping, and then I took the best burps from the 5 tracks, sampled them to computer, assigned
each burp to a key on the computer keyboard, and then played my son like a musical instrument to create the sound you hear
now. It's an epic of rock and roll burping and there's not another song remotely like it in the known universe.
2006 update: My son has grown up and he definitely doesn't like to even think
of himself as The Belchmeister any more. He worked his way through high school as a part time chef in a pizza
restaurant while at the same time maintaining a straight A average. He's attending a famous culinary college and
as part of completing his education, he's working in a classy French restaurant in England. After he graduates, he plans to
travel the world for fun and experience. His long term dream is to open up and eventually be the owner of a
restaurant, and knowing him, I'm sure that he will do it and his restaurant will have true class. The most amazing thing to
me is that he now has the same dream for himself that I've had for him for many years, so it will be real interesting to
see how this one plays out.
