This song was never recorded, and it's too bad because it expresses a universal feeling
for anybody who is in school.   Almost.   There are exceptions to several lines.

Waiting for the 3 O'Clock Bell

7:55 in the morning, think I'm gonna break that stupid alarm
Ain't got time for breakfast, I'll get a cup of coffee just to keep me warm
8:30 missed the last bus, running down the block, cross against the light
Beat that traffic that's jammed up to the corner, if I move I'm gonna make it all right
Well the 9:00 bell's like the 3:00 bell, they both make the same kind of sound
But I come alive about 2:35, watching that big hand come around
Waiting for the 3:00 bell, waiting for the 3:00 bell

Got a lot of waiting to do this morning and I don't believe I'm feeling too well
But I feel better while I'm checking out the sweater on a pretty little mademoiselle
Sitting on my bench, can't remember any French, and the teacher looks madder than hell
Rooted to the spot, my face is getting hot, I'll never make it to the 3:00 bell
Bells are ringing and my breath is clinging to my lungs like a hot wet caramel
Three tons of lead are pounding in my head like the sound of the 3:00 bell
Waiting for the 3:00 bell, waiting for the 3:00 bell

Half past 10, mathematics again, it's way too early in the morning to think
My brain is a void and the teacher looks annoyed, I start to panic 'cause my pen ran out of ink
10:30 in the morning's much too early to be forming an opinion on a stupid equation
I can't even see before a quarter to three, until the hour of my liberation
Waiting for the 3:00 bell, waiting for the 3:00 bell

Commentary:

Well, it ain't got much of a chorus, but I'll bet there's a whole lot of kids in school that can identify with the thoughts in this song. And the line about me checking out the sweater on a pretty little mademoiselle is a good rhyme and a thought that's been somewhat of an obsessive theme in my life. Sorry, the boy just can't help himself !
