Could this poem be prescient?   I really hope so!

Lovely Laguna

When anyone asks me where has the sunshine gone
I tell them it cannot be gone for very long
'Cause I know a place where it never ceases to shine
I know a place where there's true peace of mind
And it's lovely Laguna

You know everyone usually sees what they want to see
If only they all could be what they want to be
But I can imagine and no one will know
Into my mind I can easily go
And it's lovely Laguna

If ever a fantasy was within my reach
I wish it could be the sands of Laguna Beach
Population of just one or two
A couple of blankets, and just me and you

Commentary:

I only got to live in Laguna Beach for one wonderful year. But as God is my witness, if I ever get my chance, I will go back and live there once again.

2004 update:   Whoops! I was wrong. I got real lucky and moved to San Clemente. I'm now learning that San Clemente is the best town in southern California for any number of great reasons that are too numerous to list here. But there will be a new web page forthcoming because I've already thought of the title: "Peter Crossing the River Styx in the Opposite Direction".
