This song was never recorded, and it's too bad because the melody is beautiful, the lyrics
are very poetic and they accurately describe the heart and soul of a true Libra.

Libra Love

Some people make good friends and others make lovers
So easy to confuse your point of view
Some people shine like diamonds but shatter like crystal
And some people scatter their love like morning dew
But you're a Libra, a receiver

When I fall, it's the fall of the high and mighty
Reality crumbles and moments cease to be
But when you fall in love it's the fall of a yo-yo
And does not mean the same as it means to me
But you're a giver, a river

You're caught between the young girl and the woman
A place of limbo where you play with flames
That lick in confusion and burn an illusion of loving
That keeps me floating upon your ocean of names
But did I discover you're a lover?

Commentary:

This is my second song about Brenda, the girl I met on New Year's Eve while playing in her home town in Vermont with Steam. She was a Libra and I'm a Leo and it was my first experience with that famous astrological compatibility (but not my last). Libras are notoriously friendly and tend to love a lot of people, and Leos are lions, the King of beasts. When the Lion King falls in love it really is like the fall of a high and mighty monarch. Brenda was like a diamond to me, I had no intention to hurt her but when I left to travel with Steam, it shattered her sweet heart like a crystal ornament. But I saw her again many years later and she was grateful to me for her first true love experience. She told me that she had learned many important lessons from our love affair. And so did I.
