Commentary:
I had a very weird experience with this song. After I wrote it, I thought I had a good shot at a hit
because my melody was very catchy and I repeated the heck out of the title (apparently I thought that repetition alone
would do it). I remember lying on the public beach in Mamaroneck, N.Y., listening to the radio, and all of a sudden a song
came on that had the exact same chorus as mine! I almost lost it and actually believed that I had been ripped off, but then
I realized that nobody had ever heard my song because I hadn't even recorded it yet! I really DID hear my chorus on the
radio, and whatever I heard is still a mystery. I don't think the song is all that good now. It's just interesting. It's
yet another one of my songs about having some sort of communication problem with a lover, and that's a theme I really beat
to death until I found those tragic themes that no other songwriters touch - for very good reasons.
