This is an early home recording and it's not fully produced.   It's here because it's
my web site, it's one of my earliest songs, and this is my historical archive.

Night Plane

I took the night plane to LA - na na na
I think that I might have to stay - na na na
Hey I must say I'd like to go home
There's a girl back in town that I know
But there's a man somewhere there that knows me
But I'm still free

I still have the letter they sent - na na na
I spent all the money she lent - na na na
Yes you could say I'd love to go home
There's a girl back in town that I know
But there's a man somewhere there that knows me
But I'm still free - how I'd love to go home
How I'd love to go ahhhhh...
How I'd love to go home

Please shelter me from this disease - na na na
Just let me get out of this squeeze - na na na
There's some men who want me to come home
And a girl back in town that I know
And there's nobody here that knows me
But I'm still free

Peter Cross is the songwriter and the singer.

Commentary:

Reading my silly lyrics that are empty of any real emotional content makes me want to pull this song right off my site, but for some strange reason, I'm not doing it. I think it might be my "na na na's" that prove that I was thinking along the same commercial lines as Paul Leka did some years later with Steam and Na Na Hey Hey, that famous song that I learned to loath because I had to play it's sorry dumb chorus all over this country until I couldn't stand the sound of any kind of naaaaas at all! I'm sorry, I never did take any plane to LA at night and the paranoia for no good reason theme really is a bit much. But if I don't archive this thing, who will? After all, it's my web site, isn't it?
