Seminal Songs

I wrote the first 11 songs listed here when I was a teenager. To me, these songs are seminal in nature (like musical seminal fluid) and although they were recorded very poorly by me on a cheap quarter track machine while I was trying to sing and play either piano or guitar at the same time, a few of the songs are really quite good. The twelfth song, Shameful, was written just before I joined Steam and the recording you can listen to is Steam playing live. I think all these songs illustrate developing songwriting talent which could conceivably be of interest to someone other than me someday. So, it's another archive because it's my web site, isn't it?

1.     Rolling Along :   A cute little song with a circus-like sound
2.     Will Wonders Never Cease? :   For some people, they will and they do
3.     Night Plane to LA :   Take a day plane to SF - much better flight
4.     The Hemorrhoid Song :   A successful search for untouchable subject matter
5.     Helpless Inside :   Yeah, she really did it
6.     Never too Late :   First time I thought I had a hit song
7.     What Are Good Friends For? :   Great question
8.     Dirty Hippy :   Songwriting from personal experience
9.     The Music We Make :   Positive thinking
10.   Heat Lightning :   About the two women who burned me
11.   My Secret :   A song about reincarnation
12.   Shameful :   Another search for untouchable subject matter
