A Poem About the Unspeakable

So deep, it cannot be spoken of
It just begins with vows and broken love
It never ends when children are involved
There are many unspeakable dilemmas that can never be solved
So it appears that one soul may have to take the fall
For this, fear may have been born to all
And if it helps someone, out there, somewhere
No matter what you think you cannot bear
There suffers someone more, of whom you are not aware
Who has lived and suffered, fully damned
And has realized the naked truth of "I hurt, therefore, I am”

Commentary:

I found this poem on the internet recently, on a web site devoted to human pain. I don't remember submitting it to that web site and I only have a vague recollection of actually writing it, but it's definitely my poem and the last line is one of my famous ones. Their web site says they have permission from Starcrost Productions to publish it, and I don't doubt that I gave it to them so many sad years ago. Reading this on the internet brought tears to my eyes as I experienced for the umpteenth time what I went through.
