This is an early home recording and it's not fully produced.   It's here because it's
my web site, it's one of my earliest songs, and this is my historical archive.

Will Wonders Never Cease?

I see the world tonight in such a different light
And it's all because of you
Will wonders never cease?   In you I am released
And I find it's something new
I want to hold on to it, and change my life through it
Baby that's the only thing I really want to do

Oh baby, baby, will wonders never cease?
You must think I'm crazy, but your love brings me peace

I will never leave you, and I would not deceive you
I could never pay the price
I'll feel the same tomorrow, for you there'll be no sorrow
Nothing else would suffice
And if I needed to, I'd give my life for you
Nothing else in this world is worth the sacrifice

Oh baby, baby, will wonders never cease?
You must think I'm crazy, but your love brings me peace

Your love leaves me blinded, I thought I'd never find it
I don't mind, it's worth the wait
I've been searching for you in other girls before you
But you finally set me straight
Will wonders never cease?   In you I am released
Any time you need me, I wouldn't hesitate

Oh baby, baby, will wonders never cease?
You must think I'm crazy, but your love brings me peace

Peter Cross is the songwriter and the singer.

Commentary:

Well, here's song number two with a comment from yours truly about being somewhat crazy. I definitely had a theme going that was based on reality. This song was inspired by Mona, my high school sweetheart at that time, who later became my wife and the mother of my two children. There's nothing much to explain about the lyrics which are pretty typical for a young songwriter, except that I really did end up giving my life to her because she stole it, trashed it, and became The Bitch. And in the end, her love brought me the exact opposite of peace.
